PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Frankie Logan (ranked 636 p4p, 699 weight class) and Rokken Roll (ranked 74 p4p, 80 weight class). Logan kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is The Evil Scotsman. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Sosuke Kotani.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Logan. Roll does a little dance to reset his feet.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Roll has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Logan wants to get up but he can't break Roll's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Roll is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Logan defends well.
