Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Yaden Dhargey (ranked 2190 p4p, 2364 weight class) and Chris Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dhargey comes into the arena with Gyallu - Anthem of Tibet blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 17 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Yaden Dhargey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chris Griffin! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick from Griffin lands but Dhargey takes it in his stride. Griffin throws a head kick that Dhargey semi-blocks.
Dhargey avoids the head kick by Griffin.
Dhargey drives through with a takedown into guard. Dhargey missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Griffin keeping moving, preventing Dhargey from controlling successfully. Dhargey controlling from the top position. Griffin working a defensive guard but Dhargey manages to pass into side control anyway.
Griffin can't do much from the bottom here. Dhargey tries for a kimura but Griffin is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Griffin is trying to get back to half guard. Griffin is not content to let Dhargey control the position. Dhargey is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Griffin is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Dhargey working the body and head with strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Dhargey trying to control the action but Griffin is working from the bottom. Dhargey lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Griffin is trying to control Dhargey's posture but Dhargey avoids it. Griffin avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Dhargey. Griffin wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Griffin tries to improve position but can't. Dhargey working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Griffin is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Dhargey is controlling him well. Dhargey works to advance to full mount. Griffin defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Dhargey looking to finish Griffin with some ground and pound. This is bad for Griffin! Griffin tries to get back to half guard but can't. Griffin wants to hold on but Dhargey pushes him away. Dhargey scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Griffin wants to control but Dhargey is having none of it. The referee warns Griffin that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Griffin is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Dhargey landing shots from mount. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Dhargey postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Griffin looks a forlorn figure.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dhargey putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Dhargey landing shots from mount. Dhargey can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Griffin is looking to escape. Griffin tries to hold on but Dhargey pushes him away. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Yaden Dhargey dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Dhargey gets a double leg takedown into Griffin's guard. Griffin is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Dhargey passes Griffin's left leg - he's now in half guard. Dhargey landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dhargey wants to free his trapped foot but Griffin is holding on for dear life with his legs. Dhargey lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Dhargey controlling the action here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Griffin is trying to stand.
Griffin won't allow Dhargey to pass to mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dhargey is nestled in close to Griffin, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Dhargey frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Dhargey looking to control but Griffin is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dhargey landing strikes, looking to finish! Dhargey is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Griffin has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Griffin! Griffin trying to control the position from guard on top but Dhargey is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Griffin in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Griffin throwing strikes but missing. Griffin got a little sloppy there for a moment and Dhargey has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Griffin has managed to get both his arms back between Dhargey's legs - danger averted.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Griffin trying to control the position from guard on top but Dhargey is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Griffin connects with a couple of short punches. Griffin cracks Dhargey with a solid left hand. Dhargey wants to improve his position but instead Griffin has moved into half guard.
Dhargey looking for submissions off his back. Griffin slips a nice elbow through Dhargey's hands, connecting with Dhargey's forehead.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Dhargey is trying to get back to full guard. Dhargey looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Dhargey gets back to full guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Dhargey has his foot on Griffin's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Griffin works his way back into a safe position though. Griffin wants to control from the top but Dhargey keeps moving. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Yaden Dhargey dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round! Griffin moves in looking to clinch but Dhargey pushes him off. Dhargey closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Dhargey lands in his opponent's guard. Dhargey prevents Griffin from getting back to his feet. Dhargey with a nice head shot there. Dhargey throws a big elbow that misses. Griffin controls Dhargey momentarily but Dhargey frees himself. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dhargey postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Griffin is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Dhargey presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Dhargey lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Griffin lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Dhargey jumps guard but Griffin stands there with Dhargey around his waist. Dhargey gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Griffin tries to circle away but Dhargey has him pinned against the cage. Dhargey turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Dhargey manages to end up in side control. Dhargey tries for a kimura but Griffin is defending well. Griffin pushes Dhargey away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Dhargey gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Griffin managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Dhargey.
Dhargey is trying to get an arm triangle but Griffin is defending well. Yaden Dhargey overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Griffin is trying to control Dhargey's posture but Dhargey avoids it. Yaden Dhargey is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Dhargey working away. Griffin wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Griffin wants to control but Dhargey postures up. Dhargey is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Griffin can do to turn this around? Dhargey staying calm. Griffin bucks up and tries to throw Dhargey off but instead Dhargey has got his back!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dhargey has good solid back control here. Griffin wants to escape the position.
Dhargey just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Griffin tries to roll but Dhargey sticks to his back.
Griffin is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Dhargey controls the action. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that's the end of the fight! Yaden Dhargey showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dhargey, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
