Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Otto McBean (ranked 494 p4p, 642 weight class) and Ricky Greene (ranked 38 p4p, 51 weight class). Greene has chosen Stepdad- Eminem as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 21 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Otto McBean! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 24 - 21 - 1, fighting out of London, Ricky Greene! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shigeki Sano and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McBean shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. McBean ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Greene shoots for a double leg takedown but McBean sprawls well. He's pushed Greene's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. McBean attempts a counter takedown but Greene avoids it well and moves away. Greene walks into a jab. Ricky Greene seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Greene misses with a wild combination.
McBean gets a double leg takedown into Greene's guard. McBean has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McBean trying to control the position from guard on top but Greene is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Nicely done. McBean lands a nice hook to Greene's body. Greene takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Greene stuffs the takedown. Jab from Greene. McBean throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

McBean tests Greene's chin there with a solid looking shot. Greene shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with McBean but McBean pushes him off and we're back to square one. McBean is looking to wear down Greene with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. McBean swats away the attempt to clinch by Greene. Greene tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Greene dips down and scores with a jab to the body. McBean feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Greenes jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Greene paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Good exchange - McBean coming out on top. McBean takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Greene tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Greene shoots and misses and McBean counters with a straight punch to the midsection. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

McBean moves forwards but Greene connects with a nice, crisp jab. A looping hook to the body misses from McBean. Greene does a little dance to reset his feet. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Greene looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

McBean being controlled here momentarily. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. McBean wants to control from the top but Greene keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Greene has his foot on McBean's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. McBean works his way back into a safe position though. McBean is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. McBean just misses with a punch to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. McBean tries to score a power double leg takedown but Greene sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten McBean somewhat. Greene shoots in and drives through. McBean sprawls well. Greene takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Ricky Greene showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards. Greene closes this distance looking for a takedown but McBean circles away. Greene jabbing away but nothing is landing. It looked like McBean wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Greene scores with a sloppy right hand. McBean should have avoided that one.
