Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 20 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, KT Panda!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Malig Mferi!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Taro Takaoka and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mferi checks a low kick from Panda.
A looping hook to the body misses from Panda. Mferi does a little dance to reset his feet.

Sloppy strikes from Panda. Those never looked like landing.
We've been told by Panda's head coaches at Crapollas Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Panda creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Panda feints and then cracks Mferi's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Mferi down.

Mferi gets tackled into the cage by Panda. Panda maintains the clinch.
Panda lands with a right to the head.
Panda swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Mferi breaks from the clinch.
Panda throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Mferi on the side of the head.
Mferi has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.

Mferi ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Mferi sends Panda crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Mferi is motioning to the referee to let Panda up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

KT Panda seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Panda lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mferi circles away quickly and effectively.
Mferi is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Panda stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Mferi.

Panda thows a leg kick but Mferi checks it
and Mferi counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Mferi swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Mferi lands an uppercut, right on the button! Panda tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.
