Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Yannick Sakala!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 16 - 0, fighting out of London, Pete Tyler!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tyler is looking to land body kicks.
Sakala tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Tyler manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Tyler thows a body kick. Sakala tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Sakala misses with a body shot
and Tyler counters with a nice uppercut.
It looks like Yannick Sakala has been cut.
Sakala lands with a straight right. Tyler didn't see that one coming.
It looks like Pete Tyler has been cut.
Tyler lands a head kick that stumbles Sakala and the fighters go to the mat.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sakala looking for a sweep. Not yet Sakala, not yet.
Tyler stops Sakala from standing up.
Tyler passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Tyler advances to full mount.
Tyler throwing strikes here but Sakala is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Sakala really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Tyler tries to control but Sakala wriggling away.
Sakala blocking the ground and pound.
Sakala is squirming around, avoiding Tyler's attempts to control the action.
Tyler throwing strikes but Sakala bucks up and reverses the position. He's now in guard on top.
Tyler pushes a forearm under Sakala's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Sakala is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
