Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Malig Mferi (ranked 962 p4p, 69 weight class) and Carlo Pedersoli (ranked 55 p4p, 4 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Malig Mferi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 16 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Carlo Pedersoli! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Shigeki Sano and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mferi connects with a looping right hand.
Mferi throws a lazy uppercut
and Pedersoli counters with a leg kick. A jab from Mferi misses. Pedersoli looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Mferi swings widly with a right hand
and Pedersoli counters with a nice body shot. Mferi misses with a left hand and Pedersoli counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
It looks like Malig Mferi has been cut. Mferi throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Mferi takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Pedersoli feints and then cracks Mferi's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Mferi down. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mferi throws the left hand but Pedersoli avoids the punch easily. Pedersoli looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Mferi fails to land with a series of punches.
Mferi scores with a nice strike.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mferi falls off balance throwing a combination
and Pedersoli connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Pedersoli walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Pedersoli moves out of range as Mferi strikes. Nice defenses there by Pedersoli. Mferi on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Pedersoli lands a big head kick that sends Mferi tumbling to the mat! Pedersoli takes a step backwards and waves Mferi back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Mferi is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Pedersoli fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Mferi has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Oh Mferi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Mferi will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
It seemed like Pedersoli was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Mferi seems to have got his legs back now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mferi looks to land a combination but Pedersoli avoids it well. Mferi misses with a double jab
and Pedersoli counters with a huge overhand right that connects right on the temple, sending him crumpling, face first to the floor! This one is all over! What a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Carlo Pedersoli! During a confident post fight interview, Carlo Pedersoli thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
