Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rodrigo Carioni (ranked 843 p4p, 297 weight class) and Stoner Steve (ranked 109 p4p, 39 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rodrigo Carioni!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 20 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Stoner Steve!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carioni throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Steve makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Rodrigo Carioni seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Steve lands with a hook. Carioni tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
It looks like Rodrigo Carioni has been cut.
Steve throws a jab but it's blocked by Carioni.

Steve drops his hands momentarily and Carioni takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

We've been told by Carioni's head coaches at 3Band MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Steve scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Carioni is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Steve tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Carioni was well out of range. Poor timing from Steve.
Carioni lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Carioni throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Steve throws out a loose jab but Carioni uses good head movement to avoid it.

Carioni throws a hook to the side of Steve's head but Steve sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

and Steve counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Carioni is rocked!
Carioni tries to keep at a distance but Steve has taken the fight into the clinch.
Oh Carioni is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Steve misses with a hook from the clinch.

Carioni breaks the clinch.
Carioni seems to have got his legs back now.
Steve ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Steve ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
It seemed like Steve was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Donk. Steve catches Carioni right on the button with a cross.
Carioni gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Steve gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Carioni is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Stoner Steve!
Our winner, Stoner Steve, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
