Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Maman Suraman (ranked 1404 p4p, 805 weight class) and Kimmo Kallio (ranked 199 p4p, 113 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Maman Suraman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kimmo Kallio!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yukihiro Shimada and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suraman has his takedown stuffed
and Kallio counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Kallio throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Suraman counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Kallio is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Suraman pulls his head out easily.
Kallio wants to get back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Suraman trying to control the action but Kallio is working from the bottom.
Suraman is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kallio is just riding it out for now. Suraman eventually gives up the hold.

Suraman working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Suraman seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kallio does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Suraman seems to be working for a kimura but Kallio defends the submission attempt.

Kallio tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Suraman wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Suraman postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Suraman is trying to get an arm triangle but Kallio is defending well.

Suraman works to advance to full mount. Kallio defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Suraman goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Kallio is on top in guard.
Kallio wanted to stand there but Suraman had control of the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Suraman is trying to keep Kallio in close.
Kallio gets to his feet. Suraman looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Suraman looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Kallio throws a nice looking combination but Suraman bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Maman Suraman will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.
Kallio lands a nice looking body kick.
Suraman shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kallio is trying to defend but Suraman finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
