Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Julian Bashir (ranked 127 p4p, 676 weight class) and Jim Bob Walton (ranked 7 p4p, 49 weight class). Bashir comes to the cage accompanied by Exodus - The Toxic Waltz. Julian Bashir could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jim Bob Walton's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 2, fighting out of New York, Jim Bob Walton!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Edson Gomes and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walton throws a hook but Bashir avoids it easily.
It looked like Bashir wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Bashir takes the fight into the clinch.
Bashir is looking to take this one to the mat.
Walton's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Bashir moves away from the strike by Walton.
Walton throws out a loose jab but Bashir uses good head movement to avoid it.

Walton throws a hook to the side of Bashir's head but Bashir sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Walton takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Bashir drops back, looking for a kneebar! Walton looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Walton looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Walton!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Walton is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
