Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Menes Kai (ranked 1074 p4p, 1627 weight class) and Michael Aalto (ranked 115 p4p, 158 weight class). Kai comes to the cage accompanied by The Astronaut - Jin. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Menes Kai!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 30 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Michael Aalto!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aalto throws a body shot but no joy.
Aalto tries to work over Kai's front leg with a kick but Kai checks it.

enabling Kai to counter with a crisp jab.

Kai swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

Kai lands a big uppercut and Aalto crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Aalto looks OK. Kai waves Aalto back to his feet!
Aalto gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Kai gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Menes Kai!
