Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Deanthony Pederson (ranked 624 p4p, 337 weight class) and Ty Vanorden (ranked 80 p4p, 40 weight class). Vanorden has chosen UP UP & AWAY as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Ty Vanorden told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ty Vanorden!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Alec Ball and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pederson scores with a jab to the head.
Vanorden moves forwards but Pederson connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Pederson has his takedown stuffed
and Vanorden counters with a stiff right hand.
Pederson dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Pederson lands a lovely overhand right.
Vanorden steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Pederson.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pederson throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
And Vanorden responds with a good body kick, but Pederson manages to step out the way in time.

Pederson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Vanorden manages to avoid it.
Ty Vanorden is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Pederson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Vanorden sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Pederson missing with a left hand there. Vanorden was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Vanorden follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.
Vanorden gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Pederson to score an easy takedown into full guard.

We've been hearing that Pederson has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Pederson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Vanorden wants to sweep but no luck.
Vanorden pulls Pederson in close to his closed guard and prevents Pederson from doing any damage or advancing position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Pederson uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Vanorden has time to react.
Vanorden looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Pederson scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Vanorden ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

and Vanorden counters with a two punch combo.
Pederson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Vanorden counters with a head kick from the bowels of hell that crumples Pederson! This one is all over!
