Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between William H Bonney (ranked 613 p4p, 1332 weight class) and Oscar Gage (ranked 78 p4p, 26 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 18 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, William H Bonney! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 26 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Oscar Gage! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Sergei Dronov and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gage drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gage wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bonney keeps working. Gage goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Bonney rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Gage's guard! Nice work there by Bonney! Bonney has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Bonney is looking to stand up but Gage won't let him. Bonney won't allow Gage to sweep him here. Gage working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bonney doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bonney manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Bonney would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gage throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Gage working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bonney doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bonney manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gage is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Bonney's coaches at Outlaw MMA have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position. Gage trying to control the action but Bonney is working from the bottom. Bonney wants to get back to full guard but Gage has passed into side control. Gage trying to control the position but Bonney is working away. Gage is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Bonney knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bonney is not content to let Gage control the position. Bonney knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gage on the ground. Gage looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Gage working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Gage trying to control the position but Bonney is working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gage goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Bonney rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Gage's guard! Nice work there by Bonney! The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Gage manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bonney manages to get himself to full guard.
Gage stands and throws Bonney's legs to the side, diving into side control. Gage wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bonney keeps working.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gage might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Bonney haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Gage looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Bonney tries to improve position but can't. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Gage wants to control but Bonney is keeping him busy. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Oscar Gage dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Bonney connects with a right hand. Gage shakes it off. Gage fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Bonney throws out a loose jab but Gage uses good head movement to avoid it. Bonney misses with a looping left. Gage shoots in but no luck this time. Gage shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bonney sprawls well. Bonney wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gage gets slowly back to his feet. William H Bonney has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Oscar Gage. Gage dives in and grabs Bonney's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bonney pushes down on Gage's head and hops out. Bonney lands with a straight right. Gage didn't see that one coming.
It looks like Oscar Gage has been cut. Bonney throws a hook to the side of Gage's head but Gage sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gage gets in close and instigates a clinch. Still in the clinch, Bonney scores with a nice short uppercut. Bonney presses Gage against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Bonney working some nice short punches in the clinch. Bonney misses with a hook to the ribs.
Gage jumps guard and drags Bonney to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Gage is trying to control the position but Bonney postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gage looking for a guillotine here but Bonney defends easily.
Bonney wants to stand but Gage has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Gage has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Bonney doesn't defend quickly enough and Gage has managed to lock this one up! Can Bonney escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Gage on a fantastic submission victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Oscar Gage! Oscar Gage decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
