Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vinicius Honorio (ranked 77 p4p, 118 weight class) and Steve McMichael (ranked 10 p4p, 17 weight class). Honorio comes to the cage accompanied by Through the Darkness by Vinicius Honorio. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Vinicius Honorio!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Steve McMichael!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Donald Grub and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McMichael slips a straight right by Honorio.
Honorio shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts McMichael as he jumps to the side.
McMichael lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Vinicius Honorio seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Honorio throws a lazy right hand but McMichael sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Honorio moves out of range as McMichael strikes.

Honorio changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. McMichael tries to avoid it but Honorio manages to keep hold of a leg and drag McMichael to the ground. McMichael escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

McMichael is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Honorio with a body shot.

Honorio definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Honorio throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around McMichael's waist but McMichael gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Honorio off to one side.

McMichael throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Honorio dives in and grabs McMichael's left leg, looking for a takedown. McMichael pushes down on Honorio's head and hops out.

Honorio swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
McMichael throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Honorio moves forwards but McMichael connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Honorio goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Honorio rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but McMichael moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Nice uppercut lands for McMichael. That snapped Honorio's head back.
McMichael throws a body shot but no joy.
McMichael throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Honorio was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
McMichael is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Honorio had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.
McMichael throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
McMichael moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Honorio tries to bum rush McMichael with a series of wild strikes but McMichael uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

As McMichael looks to move away, Honorio throws a big counter combo but McMichael just gets out of the way.

Honorio is nestled in close to McMichael, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as McMichael holds on and takes a little breather.
