Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Douglas Sampson (ranked 29 p4p, 75 weight class) and Alexander Rozhkov (ranked 4 p4p, 10 weight class). Sampson comes to the cage accompanied by Sunshine (ft. Anthony Hamilton) - Twista . Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 11 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexander Rozhkov!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rozhkov catches Sampson with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Sampson takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

and Sampson counters with a left to the body.

Rozhkov throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Sampson swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Rozhkov shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Sampson counters with a straight right hand.
Rozhkov connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rozhkov swings away with a body shot that misses
and Sampson makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Rozhkov shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Sampson is trying to defend but Rozhkov finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sampson manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Rozhkov keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rozhkov has Sampson pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Sampson manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Sampson dips a shoulder and cracks Rozhkov with a mighty uppercut! Rozhkov falls back against the cage and Sampson unloads with a barrage of strikes! Rozhkov is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Sampson screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Douglas Sampson!

After winning the bout, Douglas Sampson thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
