Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hoodoo Brown (ranked 94 p4p, 371 weight class) and Diogo Jimenez (ranked 9 p4p, 39 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 44 - 23 - 2, fighting out of Sydney, Diogo Jimenez!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jimenez misses with a low kick.
Brown was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Jimenez uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Brown.
Brown shoots in for a takedown but Jimenez shows good takedown defense.
Brown avoids the head kick by Jimenez.
Brown rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Jimenez counters with a stiff right hand.
Brown shoots in for a double leg but Jimenez sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Some wild striking there from Jimenez.
Brown swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Jimenez on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Brown misses with a takedown attempt - Jimenez sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Brown has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Jimenez is not content to let Brown control the position.
Brown is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Jimenez's shoulder. That is not cool.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Brown shoots and misses

Brown takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Jimenez looks to land a left hand but Brown moved out of range nicely.

Jimenez takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Brown throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Jimenez was covering up waiting for the punch and Brown finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Brown swings around for an armbar but Jimenez sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Brown's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Brown drops down looking for a counter takedown but Jimenez sprawls and moves away.

Brown is looking to wear down Jimenez with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Brown looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Jimenez throws a head kick that misses.
