Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Declan McCoy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Larry LeFell!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Sosuke Kotani and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
LeFell tries to clinch there but McCoy circles away.
It looked like McCoy was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from LeFell.
McCoy lands a right hook to the body.
McCoy definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
McCoy drops LeFell with a beautiful combination! LeFell stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - McCoy is looking for the KO!
LeFell is rocked!
It looks like Larry LeFell has been cut.
LeFell moves in looking to clinch but McCoy pushes him off.
LeFell is still on wobbly legs! Can McCoy finish him?
LeFell wants to clinch up but McCoy keeps it at a distance.
LeFell seems to have recovered his senses.
LeFell closes the distance but McCoy moves to the side
and McCoy counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks LeFell out cold! What a finish! McCoy is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Declan McCoy!
A very excited looking Declan McCoy made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
