Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Probert Beukeboom (ranked 627 p4p, 597 weight class) and Tommy Draconis (ranked 82 p4p, 76 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Probert Beukeboom! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tommy Draconis! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Gwen Towbar and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Draconis shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. It looked like Beukeboom wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Beukeboom's jab looks to have found its range, popping Draconis under the eye.
It looks like Tommy Draconis has been cut. Draconis fails with a takedown attempt. Draconis tries to keep at a distance but Beukeboom has taken the fight into the clinch. Draconis works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Draconis seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Beukeboom is adopting a defensive guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Draconis is looking to work some ground and pound but Beukeboom has wrist control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Draconis postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Draconis wants to control from the top but Beukeboom keeps moving. Draconis throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Draconis has gone for a leg lock! Beukeboom slips out almost immediately though and dives into Draconis's guard. Draconis controlling Beukeboom's posture. Beukeboom wanted to stand there but Draconis had control of the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Beukeboom gets to his feet - Draconis follows without any prompting. Beukeboom throws a looping overhand right but Draconis ducks down to avoid it. Beukeboom is looking to clinch. Probert Beukeboom is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Beukeboom tries to clinch but Draconis is having none of it. Draconis shoots in for a takedown and gets it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Beukeboom is holding on to half guard well. Beukeboom is looking for a sweep. Draconis is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Beukeboom trying to control from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Draconis not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Beukeboom trying to control but Draconis postures up.
Beukeboom is looking for a sweep. Draconis is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Draconis perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Draconis connects with a nice short shot to Beukeboom's temple. Beukeboom trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Draconis manages to pass to mount!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Draconis with a couple of short strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Draconis controlling from the full mount. Beukeboom tries to get back to half guard but can't. Draconis misses with a head shot. Beukeboom can't escape the position.
Draconis has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at The Purpose Martial Arts Academy. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Beukeboom knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Draconis on the ground. Draconis can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Beukeboom is looking to escape. Draconis throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Beukeboom has his hands clasped together but Draconis breaks the hold and Beukeboom is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Draconis!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Tommy Draconis! Our winner, Tommy Draconis, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
