Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ulysses Battleby (ranked 225 p4p, 139 weight class) and Lee Huang (ranked 23 p4p, 13 weight class). Lee Huang has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!

Battleby walks forward, straight into a front kick from Huang.

and Huang counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Huang throws the left hand but Battleby avoids the punch easily.
Huang uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Battleby has time to react.
Huang feints and then cracks Battleby's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Battleby down.
Huang lands a slapping body shot.

Huang shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Huang thuds his shin into the meat of Battleby's side.
Battleby bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

and Battleby counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Huang looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

We've been told by Battleby's head coaches at FIGHT FOUNDERS (CA) that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Battleby moves out of range of the leg kick from Huang.
Huang fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Battleby.
Huang throws a jab but it's blocked by Battleby.
A counter left hand to the body from Battleby misses its target.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Lee Huang dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Huang looks to land a right hand but Battleby moved out of range.

and Battleby connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Huang fakes the leg kick and cracks Battleby in the body.

Huang feints and then cracks Battleby's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Battleby down.
Battleby is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Battleby cracks Huang with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Battleby has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Huang to stand back up!
Huang is still on wobbly legs! Can Battleby finish him?
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
