Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jeremy Kilgore! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 17 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Pete Price! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Steve Smith and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kilgore ducks under a wild hook from Price. Price throws a right hand that misses
and Kilgore counters with a nice low kick that buckles Price's knee momentarily. Kilgore goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
It looks like Pete Price has been cut. Kilgore throws a head kick that misses. Kilgore plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Price avoids the head kick by Kilgore.
Price with a jab. Kilgore lands with a right hand. Kilgore definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Kilgore throws a head kick but Price moves out of range.
Price swings widly with a right hand
and Kilgore counters with a good low kick that Price was not able to check. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Price throws a one two combo.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kilgore tries to sprawl but Price drives through with a takedown into half guard. Price keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Kilgore is trying to stand up here but Price is controlling him well. Kilgore blocking the ground and pound attempt from Price. Price slips a nice elbow through Kilgore's hands, connecting with Kilgore's forehead. Kilgore is defending against the submission attempts here by Price.
Kilgore is looking to escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Price trying to control the pace. Kilgore is trying to stand up here but Price is controlling him well.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Price just misses with a punch to the body.
Kilgore lunges at Price with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Price's hand. Price fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Price takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Kilgore will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Price changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Some wild striking there from Price.
Kilgore half committed to a counter leg kick. Price pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Kilgore throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Price's head. Kilgore dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Price avoids the head kick by Kilgore.
Price slips a straight right by Kilgore. Price drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Kilgore defends it well. Price throws an ugly left hook that misses
enabling Kilgore to counter with a crisp jab.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kilgore throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Price throws an overhand right that lands on Kilgore's shoulder, as Kilgore tries to avoid the shot. Price misses with a right hand and Kilgore counters with a lovely straight right hand! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kilgore missing with a left hand there. Price was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Price ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kilgore moves away. Kilgore lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Price throws a hook but Kilgore blocks it. Kilgore looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Kilgore is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Kilgore throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Price's head. Price misses with a jab to the body
and Kilgore counters with an outside leg kick.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Price doesn't succeed with the takedown and Kilgore counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. A cross from Kilgore lands. Kilgore tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Kilgore lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Price throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kilgore. Kilgore throws a series of punches but Price moves out of range. Jeremy Kilgore is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Kilgore thows a left - swing and a miss! Price lands the left hand.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Price misses with a lunging right hand
and Kilgore counters with a series of strikes. Price will be more careful next time no doubt. Price lands with a straight right. Kilgore didn't see that one coming. This has been an exciting period of action! Price fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Kilgore on the side of the head.
Kilgore is rocked! Kilgore dodges the punch combination from Price.
Kilgore misses with a few strikes there.
Kilgore throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. A big right from Price misses. Price drops Kilgore with a big left hand and mounts him. Kilgore is in big trouble! Oh Kilgore is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Price controlling his opponent. Price postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Kilgore bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Price and the fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 7:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Pete Price! A relieved looking Pete Price thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
