Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Eduardo Corassa (ranked 1330 p4p, 1301 weight class) and Manny Franco (ranked 102 p4p, 99 weight class). Franco has chosen La Bamba as his entrance music. Manny Franco has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 48 - 27 - 2, fighting out of New York, Eduardo Corassa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Manny Franco! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Daniel Cesar and Edson Gomes.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Corassa misses with a hook to the body
and Franco counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Franco moves into the clinch. Franco tries a body shot but Corassa blocks it.
Franco struggles to land a body shot inside as Corassa controls his hands.

Franco lands with a short shot to the head. Corassa pushes Franco back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Franco is leaning against Corassa and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Corassa breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Corassa throws a body punch but Franco moves out of range. Franco doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Corassa throws a sloppy body shot
and Franco counters with a stiff right hand. Corassa throws the left hand but Franco avoids the punch easily. Franco takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Franco throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Corassa misses with a wild body shot. Franco slips a straight right by Corassa. Corassa lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Franco fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Corassa manages to avoid it. Corassa seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Franco keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Corassa. Franco ducks under a wild hook from Corassa. A little jabbing left from Franco on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Corassa takes a swing at Franco's ribcage but misses. Corassa swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Corassa jabbing away but nothing is landing. Franco walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Franco fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Corassa manages to avoid it. Franco keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Franco was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind. Franco moves out of range of the strikes. Franco takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Corassa throws a poor cross that misses
and Franco counters with a stiff right hand. Corassa throws a poor cross that misses
and Franco counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Eduardo Corassa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Corassa misses with a left hand and Corassa takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
 Corassa is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Corassa throws a body shot but no joy. Franco was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind. Corassa throws a head kick that Franco semi-blocks.
 It looks like Manny Franco has been cut. Corassa misses with a left hand and Franco counters with a head kick that wobbles Corassa - left then right he sways and one more bomb from Franco sends him down. This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Manny Franco! Manny Franco seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
