Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Vercetti (ranked 925 p4p, 947 weight class) and Marski Martola (ranked 93 p4p, 96 weight class). Vercetti comes to the cage accompanied by Vice City. Tommy Vercetti had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tommy Vercetti!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 13 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marski Martola!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vercetti takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Vercetti throws a jab when Martola was well out of range.
Martola feints the counter takedown.
Martola closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Vercetti quickly recovers to half guard.
Vercetti is looking to get back to is feet but Martola passes into side control.
Vercetti prevents Martola from moving into mount.
Martola has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Vercetti is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Martola goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Vercetti is on top in guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Vercetti avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Martola looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Vercetti has picked Martola up and slammed him! Martola can't keep hold of the triangle and Vercetti manages to pass to side control!

Martola manages to work his way to half guard, despite Vercetti's best efforts.
Vercetti prevents Martola from improving his position.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Martola is looking to get back to full guard here but Vercetti has managed to pass to side control instead.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Martola wants to get back to full guard but Vercetti has passed into side control.

Vercetti remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

That was a close round but I would say that Tommy Vercetti will probably get the nod.

Martola drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Vercetti is figuring out what he wants to do next.

That was a close second round but I would say that Tommy Vercetti will probably get the nod.

The fight stays on the outside here - Martola looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Martola feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Vercettis jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

It looked like Vercetti wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Vercetti walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Martola manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Vercetti on his heels. He'll look to pass Vercetti's guard now, I'm sure.

Vercetti got a little sloppy there for a moment and Martola has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Vercetti has managed to get both his arms back between Martola's legs - danger averted.

Vercetti moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Martola throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Vercetti's waist but Vercetti gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Martola off to one side.
Martola throws a jab when Vercetti was well out of range.
An attempted straight right counter from Vercetti misses the target.
Vercetti takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Martola lands with a straight right. Vercetti didn't see that one coming.
Martola throws a body shot but no joy.
And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Marski Martola.
I think Vercetti has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
