Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Liwa Kursiwa (ranked 277 p4p, 283 weight class) and Whealer Van Hire (ranked 27 p4p, 30 weight class). Van Hire has chosen Billy Joe ft. Koni-K | Le sacre de la tronçonneuse as his entrance music. Whealer Van Hire has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 15 - 12 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Liwa Kursiwa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 21 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Whealer Van Hire! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Andrew Berry and Phil Schofield.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Van Hire keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kursiwa. Kursiwa throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Van Hire. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Van Hire! But no joy. Liwa Kursiwa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Van Hire swats away the attempt to clinch by Kursiwa.
Van Hire clinches up with Kursiwa and pushes him back against the cage. Kursiwa is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Van Hire gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Good body shot from Van Hire.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kursiwa's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Kursiwa blocking some punches.
Van Hire misses with a hook to the ribs.
Kursiwa goes for a takedown attempt but Van Hire pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Kursiwa shoots in looking for a takedown. Van Hire tries to sprawl out of it but Kursiwa keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Van Hire manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. A nice side step and Van Hire releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Liwa Kursiwa. That's going to take a lot out of him.
 That's one minute gone in the round. A jab from Van Hire finds it's way through Kursiwa's defenses. Van Hire looks to land a body kick but Kursiwa moved away. Kursiwa seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Van Hire fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kursiwa, pushing him back against the cage. Van Hire tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Nice body punch from Van Hire. Van Hire doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Kursiwa manages to break the clinch.
Kursiwa lands a two punch combo.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Kursiwa throws a front kick aimed at Van Hire's knee but Van Hire avoids it well. Van Hire throws a shot from downtown. Kursiwa moves away and avoids it. Kursiwa seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Kursiwa keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Van Hire. Van Hire has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight. Kursiwa shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
 Kursiwa is rocked! Van Hire swinging wildly here.
Oh Kursiwa is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kursiwa shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Van Hire as he avoids it easily. Kursiwa doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Kursiwa is breathing heavily. Van Hire lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Kursiwa head around and knocks him out cold! Van Hire hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Whealer Van Hire! After the fight, Whealer Van Hire was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
