Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sledge Wrou (ranked 298 p4p, 668 weight class) and Marski Martola (ranked 33 p4p, 75 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Sledge Wrou!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 13 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marski Martola!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wrou throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Martola on the side of the head.
Martola throws the kick towards the body but Wrou avoids it.
Martola with a poor takedown
and Wrou connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Martola shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Wrou as he avoids it easily.
Wrou gets tackled into the cage by Martola. Martola maintains the clinch.
Martola tries to score a body lock takedown but Wrou shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Sledge Wrou has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marski Martola.
Wrou lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Wrou wants to get back to striking at distance but Martola won't allow it.
Wrou pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Martola has taken the fight to the clinch.

Wrou is looking to control Martola's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Wrou avoid being mounted?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Martola wants to free his trapped foot but Wrou is holding on for dear life with his legs.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Marski Martola dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Wrou misses with an uppercut. Martola saw that one coming.
Wrou throws an overhand right that lands on Martola's shoulder, as Martola tries to avoid the shot.
And Martola tries to counter it with a takedown but Wrou pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Martola swings away with a body shot that misses
and Wrou counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Martola throws a jab but it's blocked by Wrou.
Wrou looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Wrou has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

Martola looks to land a left hand but Wrou moved out of range nicely.
Martola attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Martola swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Wrou connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Martola throws a hook to the side of Wrou's head but Wrou sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Martola fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Wrou avoids it really well and circles away.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Martola throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Wrou escapes and throws Martola's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Martola is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Wrou is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Wrou prevents Martola from getting the reversal.

Wrou wants to take Martola's back here but Martola is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
Martola keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Martola is trying to reverse the position but instead Wrou has taken his back - oops!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Martola rolls, trying to escape but Wrou keeps control of the position.
Martola turns into Wrou and is now in his guard.
Wrou seems keen to control Martola's posture.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Sledge Wrou will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Wrou is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Wrou pulls Martola in close to his closed guard and prevents Martola from doing any damage or advancing position.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Wrou manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Wrou catches Martola with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Wrou uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Martola.
Wrou tries to move into range but Martola moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Martola looking to score a takedown here. Wrou is defending well but Martola drives through and ends up in Wrou's guard.
Wrou manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Wrou tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Martola is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Wrou can't fight it off and eventually Martola manages to take the fight to the floor. Wrou looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Wrou seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Wrou continues to stall.
Martola passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Wrou sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round.

Martola stops Wrou from getting back to his feet.
Wrou moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Martola stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wrou swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Martola prevents Wrou from getting back to his feet.
Wrou is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Martola trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Sledge Wrou.
I think Wrou has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In his post fight interview, Sledge Wrou started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
