Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Phoenix Peterson (ranked 1158 p4p, 910 weight class) and Chris Richarlison (ranked 152 p4p, 114 weight class). Peterson comes to the cage accompanied by Bulls On Parade- Rage Against the Machine. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Phoenix Peterson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Chris Richarlison!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Richard Clark and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Richarlison ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Peterson moves away.
Richarlison has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Peterson.

The fight stays on the outside here - Peterson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Peterson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Richarlison throws a shot from downtown. Peterson moves away and avoids it.
Peterson lands a jab to Richarlison's midsection.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

That was a close round but I would say that Phoenix Peterson will probably get the nod.

Richarlison crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Peterson - the referee stops the clock and Richarlison gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Peterson. Richarlison manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Richarlison feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Petersons jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Richarlison steps in with a hook that catches Peterson right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Richarlison follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Peterson looks absolutely devastated.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chris Richarlison!
After the fight, Chris Richarlison was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
