Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rahim Johnson (ranked 25115 p4p, 2866 weight class) and Vadim Dyavol (ranked 449 p4p, 266 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Johnson might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Gone Guru- Lifeseeker. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rahim Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vadim Dyavol!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Taro Takaoka and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dyavol clinches up with Johnson and pushes him back against the cage.
Dyavol lands a takedown into guard.
Dyavol sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Johnson's guard.
Dyavol not doing much here.
Johnson has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dyavol is nestled in close to Johnson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Johnson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dyavol on the ground.

The referee warns Johnson that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Dyavol manages to capitalize on a mistake by Johnson to take his back!
Dyavol is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Johnson up.
Our spies down at at Convicted Fight Club inform us that Dyavol has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Dyavol is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Johnson has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Dyavol has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Johnson taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Dyavol doesn't care though - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Vadim Dyavol!
