Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kaito Tanaka (ranked 272 p4p, 147 weight class) and Semi Veainu (ranked 36 p4p, 20 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Veainu misses with a right hand
and Tanaka counters with a crisp one two that drops Veainu! Tanaka thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Veainu to his feet! Veainu is in big trouble!
Tanaka misses the shot to the body.
Veainu let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Tanaka throws a leg kick which misses Veainu's front leg but catches the back leg as Veainu tries to avoid it.
Tanaka lands a front kick.
Veainu looks winded!
Tanaka thumps Veainu with a low kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Veainu wants to clinch up but Tanaka keeps it at a distance.
Veainu misses with a lunging right hand
and Tanaka cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Veainu looks to clinch
and Tanaka counters with a big right hand! Oh Veainu is in trouble here! Tanaka follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kaito Tanaka!
