Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Deanthony Pederson (ranked 871 p4p, 721 weight class) and Digital Jokinen (ranked 112 p4p, 99 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 17 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Deanthony Pederson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Digital Jokinen! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Elvis Blanc and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pederson listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Jokinen tries to bum rush Pederson with a series of wild strikes but Pederson uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Pederson feinted with a counter takedown. Pederson shoots in for a takedown but Jokinen shows good takedown defense. Despite the aggression on Jokinen's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Pederson keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Jokinen throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Pederson on the side of the head. Pederson throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Jokinen counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Pederson scores with a crisp jab that stopped Jokinen in his tracks. Jokinen clinches with his opponent.
Pederson manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Pederson is pulling down on Jokinen's head. It's preventing any offense from Jokinen, at least for the moment. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pederson seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Pederson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Jokinen's head. Pederson is taking a breather. Jokinen says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Pederson works his foot free and advances to mount.

Jokinen is letting Pederson control him for a moment. Jokinen tries to get back to half guard but can't. Pederson cracks Jokinen with an elbow. That is naaassty. Jokinen has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. Pederson is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Jokinen's shoulder. That is not cool. Jokinen is looking for a sweep. Pederson tries for a kimura but Jokinen is defending well.

Possibly, maybe, no Pederson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Pederson just content to control the position. Jokinen is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Pederson taking a breather here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pederson wants to control but Jokinen is keeping him busy.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. The strikes coming from Pederson are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Pederson working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Jokinen tries to clinch up. Pederson connects with a single shot there. Jokinen drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Pederson lands a jab to the nose.

That's nine minutes gone in the round. Pederson fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Jokinen is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Jokinen swings for the body but Pederson moves out of range.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Jokinen's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Pederson connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Jokinen scrambles back to his feet. Pederson fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Deanthony Pederson dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards. Pederson just misses with a punch to the body.
