Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ray White (ranked 685 p4p, 712 weight class) and Yaroslav Rurik (ranked 49 p4p, 51 weight class). White comes to the cage accompanied by HonestKey- Change. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ray White! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Yaroslav Rurik! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Gregory Folan and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! White misses with a looping left. Rurik swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. White gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Rurik counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps White thinking. Rurik tries to clinch up but White circles away and keeps his distance. White throws an off balance right hand
and Rurik connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. White on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Rurik. Rurik obviously looking to wear him down.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. White is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Rurik. Rurik wants to clinch but White slips to the side and White counters with a single leg into guard. Rurik didn't expect that. Rurik has his hands on White's head, controlling the position. White throws a strike but Rurik rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
That's one minute gone in the round. White tries to land a sweep but no joy. White is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. White is looking to take a break and control but Rurik is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. White landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Rurik keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. White missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rurik is not content to let White control the position. White is nestled in close to Rurik, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. White wants to advance to full mount but Rurik doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. White slips nicely into half guard. Well, if White is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

That's three minutes gone in the round. White controlling the action here. Rurik felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. White wants to free his trapped foot but Rurik is holding on for dear life with his legs. White working Rurik over with strikes. White looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. White prevents Rurik from improving his position. White looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. White definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. White throwing shots but Rurik is blocking nicely. Rurik tries to get to full guard but White has control of the leg. Rurik is not content to let White control the position. Rurik keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. White lunges at Rurik with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Rurik's hand.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Rurik slips under a jab from White. Rurik replies with a solid counter kick to the body but White blocks it well. Rurik clinches up against the cage. White tries to pull guard but Rurik won't allow it.
Rurik lands with a light punch inside. A battle for position here, against the cage. Rurik misses with a punch on the inside.
White escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Rurik jabbing away but nothing is landing. White moves out of range of the body kick from Rurik.
Rurik misses with an uppercut
so White counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. White pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Rurik is keeping the position for now.
That's six minutes gone in the round. White working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. White trying to control the position from guard on top but Rurik is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. White distracts Rurik with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. White has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. White with a nice head shot there. White throwing strikes but missing. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Rurik working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from White. White postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Rurik is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of White, into his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. White looking to control.
White looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Rurik not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. White working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rurik doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rurik manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Rurik slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. White working for submissions but it's allowed Rurik to get to half guard.
White looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. White wants to control but Rurik is keeping busy.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. White tries to get to full guard but Rurik has control of the leg. Rurik content to control rather than advance. White moves into full guard.
White working for a triangle but Rurik defends it easily.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! White is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Ray White dominated that round. That's time! White's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. White takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
White throws a body shot but no joy. The crowd cheers as White lands an impressive looking overhand right. Rurik doesn't seem phased though. White darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. White is looking to work some ground and pound but Rurik has wrist control. White scores with a decent looking elbow strike. White controls from within his opponent's guard. White working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. White throws a big elbow that misses.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Rurik moves away from the strike by White. A lazy body kick from Rurik and White counters with a single leg into guard. Rurik didn't expect that. White working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Rurik's head. White sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Rurik's guard. White looks to land a strike but Rurik avoids it nicely and regains full guard. White is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Rurik can do to turn this around? Rurik has control of White's left arm, preventing White from doing any damage. Rurik working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from White. Rurik preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. White pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Rurik is keeping the position for now. Rurik can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as White controls the pace. Rurik keeping moving, preventing White from controlling successfully. White looking to sit in guard and control but Rurik gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Rurik preventing the sweep. White is looking for a triangle here but Rurik uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
That's five minutes gone in the round. White sneaks back into half guard. White moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. White has his foot on Rurik's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rurik works his way back into a safe position though. White throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Rurik escapes and throws White's legs to the side, diving into side control! White is looking for a sweep.
That's six minutes gone in the round. White is being controlled here. White is trying to improve his position. White being controlled for a moment. White is looking for a sweep.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. White is not content to let Rurik control the position. White trying to control but Rurik flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back! White trying to control the action but Rurik just sinks the hooks in. White tries to escape but Rurik has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. White tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! White is desperately trying to improve his position but Rurik has a good base and remains in mount. Rurik tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. White has given up his back here.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ray White will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round! White throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Rurik counters with a lovely straight right hand! White throws a hook but Rurik avoids it easily. White gets cracked there but stands up to it.
White shoots in but Rurik avoids the takedown attempt easily. White throws a sloppy body shot
and Rurik counters with a body kick that stops White in his tracks momentarily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rurik doesn't manage to clinch there - White circles away.
Rurik leaves White with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rurik misses with a hook. White ducked under it nicely. White drops down looking for a counter takedown but Rurik sprawls and moves away. White misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Rurik.
White changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Rurik moves into the clinch successfully.

Rurik lands a right hand that snaps the head of White backwards. Rurik makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Rurik misses with a short punch on the inside. White goes for a takedown attempt but Rurik pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ray White. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rurik pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces White back to the cage. Rurik follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. White misses with a hook. Rurik looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rurik tries to clinch and White decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Rurik's guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! White throws a big elbow that misses. White trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. White is looking to work some ground and pound but Rurik has wrist control. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Rurik holds on and takes a little breather. White looking to pass the guard. White wants to control from the top but Rurik keeps moving.
That's five minutes gone in the round. White trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Rurik manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! White controls Rurik momentarily but Rurik frees himself. White working for a triangle but Rurik defends it easily.
White looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Rurik has picked White up and slammed him! White can't keep hold of the triangle and Rurik manages to pass to side control!
That's six minutes gone in the round. Rurik moves into full mount! White tries to hold on but Rurik pushes him away. White is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. White is desperately trying to improve his position but Rurik has a good base and remains in mount. White sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. White is looking for a sweep. Rurik is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Yaroslav Rurik has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Rurik is thwarting White's attempts to control the position. Still in half guard, Rurik seems content to control.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Rurik misses with a hook. White appears to be looking for a counter takedown. White ducks under a wild hook from Rurik. White doesn't succeed with the takedown and Rurik counters with a big head kick but White shrugs it off.
