Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Willie Dixon (ranked 758 p4p, 1439 weight class) and Yuuji Hoshino (ranked 61 p4p, 100 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 13 - 6 - 1, fighting out of London, Willie Dixon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 22 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yuuji Hoshino! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dixon gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Hoshino. Hoshino connects with a looping right hand.
Hoshino looks to land a combination but Dixon avoids it well. Dixon appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Hoshino connects with a crisp jab. Hoshino ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Dixon moves away. Dixon swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Dixon gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Hoshino connects with a single shot there. Hoshino misses with a straight right. Hoshino throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Dixon sees it coming and avoids it easily. Dixon half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Dixon drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Hoshino misses with an attempted mid kick.

That's one minute gone in the round. Hoshino cracks Dixon with a good jab. Dixon ducks under a wild hook from Hoshino. A shot to the liver by Hoshino. Beautiful body shot. Hoshino just misses with a punch to the body.
Hoshino cracks Dixon with an open hand slap. Yuuji Hoshino is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. A good leg kick by Hoshino. The fighters circling - Hoshino throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Dixon half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. A lazy left from Hoshino finds it's target. Dixon looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Yuuji Hoshino seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hoshino connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Hoshino misses with a shot to the body and Dixon counters with a shoot takedown. Hoshino fights it but they end up in guard. Hoshino pushes Dixon off and scrambles back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hoshino pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hoshino throws a jab but it's blocked by Dixon. Hoshino looks to score with a jab to the body but Dixon is just out of range. Hoshino loads up on a big right hand but Dixon slips the punch. Hoshino throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Dixon tries to counter with a takedown but Hoshino is quick to defend against it. Dixon takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Hoshino throws the left hand but Dixon avoids the punch easily. Dixon is looking to counter the offense by Hoshino and move into the clinch. Hoshino fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Some bone on bone action there as Dixon checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Dixon swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Hoshino is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Dixon had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush. Hoshino comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Hoshino scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Dixon doesn't seem bothered though. Hoshino throws out a loose jab but Dixon uses good head movement to avoid it. Hoshino misses with a right hand and Dixon counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Dixon. Dixon drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Dixon jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Dixon drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Hoshino dives on top into guard.
Dixon is looking for a triangle here but Hoshino uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Dixon's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Dixon tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Hoshino easily slips into full mount! Dixon is looking to get to half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Dixon is working hard here to advance position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Yuuji Hoshino dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Hoshino throws a front kick aimed at Dixon's knee but Dixon avoids it well. Dixon is looking for a counter combo. Dixon avoids the body shot from Hoshino.
A little feinted left hand from Dixon on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Dixon ducks right into an uppercut from Hoshino. Dixon slips a jab from Hoshino. Dixon tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Hoshino manages to circle out of the way. The fighters circling - Hoshino throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Yuuji Hoshino seems to be getting the better of the standup. Hoshino missing with a left hand there. Dixon was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Dixon takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hoshino throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Dixon gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Hoshino lands the left hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hoshino waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Dixon. Dixon tries to counter by clinching up but Hoshino breaks away and moves out of range. Hoshino lands a slapping body shot.
Hoshino scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Hoshino lunges at Dixon with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Dixon's hand. Hoshino scores with a push kick. A low kick lands for Hoshino.
Hoshino jabbing away but nothing is landing. Hoshino misses with a leg kick and Dixon counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hoshino won't be happy with that.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Dixon swings around for an armbar but Hoshino sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Dixon's guard. Dixon is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Dixon has his foot on Hoshino's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hoshino works his way back into a safe position though. Dixon looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Dixon has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Hoshino doesn't defend quickly enough and Dixon has managed to lock this one up! Can Hoshino escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Dixon on a fantastic submission victory.
