Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Emiliano Steele (ranked 2639 p4p, 5177 weight class) and Katashi Takehiko (ranked 153 p4p, 234 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Emiliano Steele! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Katashi Takehiko! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Viktor Lagutenko and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Takehiko with a nice calf kick. Steele has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Takehiko finds it's way round the side to connect with Steele's head. An inside leg kick lands from Takehiko. Steele gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Takehiko. Takehiko fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Steele on the side of the head. Steele looks to throw the jab but Takehiko is out of range. Takehiko bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Steele fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Steele closes the distance and clinches up with Takehiko, looking for a takedown. Steele pushes Takehiko against the cage but Takehiko circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Steele goes for a double leg but Takehiko avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Takehiko continues to drive forward. Takehiko gets underhooks to prevent Steele's takedown attempt.

Katashi Takehiko dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Takehiko displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Steele. Takehiko with the inside leg kick. Takehiko lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Nice shot lands for Takehiko. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Steele. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Steele tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Takehiko swivels and escapes. It seemed like Takehiko was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Takehiko darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Takehiko lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Steele is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Takehiko scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Steele doesn't seem bothered though. Takehiko feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Steeles jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Thud! ouch! good body kick from Takehiko - that will leave a mark!

Steele looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Nice sprawl there from Takehiko as Steele shoots in. This is the final round! Steele shoots in looking for a takedown but Takehiko manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Steele's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Steele takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Takehiko moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Takehiko wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
