Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Caleb Jones (ranked 989 p4p, 1160 weight class) and Enzo Belmiro (ranked 103 p4p, 125 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Caleb Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Enzo Belmiro! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Steven Brown and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Belmiro misses the jab. A low kick lands for Jones.
We've been told by Jones's head coaches at League of Shadows MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Belmiro checks a leg kick. Jones swings away with a leg kick that misses. Belmiro takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Belmiro walks into a jab. Jones misses with a leg kick and Belmiro counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Belmiro tries to pass the half guard into mount. Jones knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Belmiro trying to control the action but Jones is working from the bottom. Jones avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Belmiro. Belmiro missing with the ground and pound from half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Jones manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Jones utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Belmiro trying to control but Jones is working from the bottom. Belmiro is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Jones is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Jones has escaped and now he's on top!
Belmiro is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jones is aware though and is defending well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones preventing the sweep. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Belmiro holds on and takes a little breather. Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Belmiro is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Belmiro has his foot on Jones's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jones works his way back into a safe position though. Jones throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Belmiro works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Jones stopping the sweep attempt from Belmiro. Belmiro is looking to cinch up a triangle. Jones throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Belmiro's body to avoid the submission. Belmiro has instead reached around Jones's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Belmiro arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Enzo Belmiro!
