Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gunner Bond!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 2, fighting out of New York, Clive Hicks!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bond is looking to slow Hicks down with leg kicks.
Hicks throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Bond sees it coming and avoids it easily.

and Hicks counters with a nice double leg into side control. Bond won't be happy with that.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hicks throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Bond works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
Hicks takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Bond has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Hicks crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Bond - the referee stops the clock and Hicks gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Bond. Hicks manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Bond throws a shot from downtown. Hicks moves away and avoids it.
Hicks has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Bond.

Bond lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Hicks crumples to the floor! Bond milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!
