Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between George Pogie (ranked 2050 p4p, 3253 weight class) and Sam Bass (ranked 251 p4p, 0 weight class). Pogie comes into the arena with Nobody’s Angel blaring out of the sound system. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Sam Bass was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

With a record of 10 - 8 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sam Bass!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, John Roberts and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pogie misses with a takedown
and Pogie takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Pogie tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bass sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pogie somewhat.
No luck for Pogie with that takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for George Pogie. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bass has closed the distance and engaged Pogie in a clinch.
Bass gets through Pogie's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Pogie is trying to drag Bass to the mat but Bass just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Pogie tumbles to the floor! Bass threw a big shot that dropped him and now Bass is on top looking to finish! Pogie has guard but can he survive?!

Bass slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Bass content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Bass's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Sam Bass dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Bass lands with a good body shot.
Bass throws an uppercut from hell that sends Pogie clean off his feet! He's out cold! Bass stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:12 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Sam Bass!
A relieved looking Sam Bass thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
