Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 20 - 0, fighting out of New York, Torsten Mjölnir!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Darius Thibodeaux!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Aafke Stam and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mjölnir looks to land a left hand but Thibodeaux moved out of range nicely.
Thibodeaux looks like he wants to counter punch here.
No joy there for Mjölnir, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Thibodeaux swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Mjölnir throws a body punch but Thibodeaux moves out of range.
Thibodeaux lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Mjölnir misses with a low kick as Thibodeaux jumps back.
Mjölnir lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Mjölnir throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Thibodeaux drops a shoulder and throws a biiiig uppercut that drops Mjölnir onto his butt! Mjölnir pops straight back to his feet to convince the referee that he's OK to continue.
Mjölnir is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mjölnir dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Thibodeaux. That did some damage!
Oh Mjölnir is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mjölnir misses with a low kick.
Mjölnir connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Thibodeaux momentarily.
Mjölnir throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Thibodeaux counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Mjölnir seems to have got his legs back now.
A swing and a miss from Mjölnir.
A nice side step and Thibodeaux releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Thibodeaux weaves into range and cracks Mjölnir right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Mjölnir goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Thibodeaux is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Darius Thibodeaux!
