And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Common Carp!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Fedor Mirinova and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carp throws a body shot but no joy.
Carp listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Ray looks to land a combination. Carp sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Ray drops Carp with a left right combo! Ray follows him down to the ground into side control.
It looks like Common Carp has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ray stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Ray throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Carp misses with a jab, cross combination.
Ray connects with a crisp jab.
Carp is rocked!
Ray is looking to clinch.
Carp throws a lazy uppercut
and Ray scores with a counter punch that sends Carp to the canvas! Ray smells blood - he's punishing Carp with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Carp has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Charles Lee Ray!
