Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Vincent Duboulay (ranked 252 p4p, 555 weight class) and Eja Igwe (ranked 23 p4p, 44 weight class). Duboulay comes to the cage accompanied by World On Fire. Eja Igwe will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Vincent Duboulay! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Eja Igwe! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Taro Takaoka and Hirohito Nitta.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Igwe throws out a loose jab but Duboulay uses good head movement to avoid it. Duboulay appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Duboulay moves out of range as Igwe strikes. Duboulay moves away from the strike by Igwe. Igwe connects with a single shot there. Igwe throws a looping overhand right but Duboulay ducks down to avoid it. Duboulay drops down looking for a counter takedown but Igwe sprawls and moves away. Duboulay ducks under a wild hook from Igwe. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Igwe misses with a left hand
and Duboulay counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Duboulay. Duboulay preventing the sweep. Duboulay tries to stand but Igwe is controlling from the bottom.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Igwe has control of Duboulay's left arm, preventing Duboulay from doing any damage. Igwe looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Igwe looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Duboulay trying to stand up but can't free himself from Igwe's guard.  That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. A big right from Igwe misses. Igwe throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Duboulay counters with a shoot takedown. Igwe fights it but they end up in guard. Igwe is looking to stand back up but Duboulay counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Igwe.

Igwe is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Duboulay is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Duboulay tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Igwe.
 The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Igwe misses with a straight right. Duboulay displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Igwe throws out the jab. Duboulay feinted with a counter takedown. Igwe lands with a hook. Duboulay tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Duboulay's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Igwe connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Duboulay scrambles back to his feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Igwe feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Duboulay sprawling to the canvas! Duboulay rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Igwe finish him?!
 Duboulay is rocked! Igwe misses with an uppercut. Oh Duboulay is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Duboulay gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Igwe. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Eja Igwe dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.
Igwe throws a head kick but Duboulay moves out of range.

Duboulay changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Igwe connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Duboulay's hands. Duboulay staying out of range there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Igwe jabbing away but nothing is landing. Igwe throws a shot from downtown. Duboulay moves away and avoids it. Eja Igwe is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

and Duboulay counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Duboulay wants to stand and escape but instead Igwe has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. Igwe is keen to just control but Duboulay is a slippery customer. Duboulay wants to get back to his feet. Duboulay has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Duboulay won't allow Igwe to pass to mount. Duboulay wants to get back to his feet. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Igwe is controlling the pace.
Igwe wants to free his trapped foot but Duboulay is holding on for dear life with his legs. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Eja Igwe showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
