Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Serta Mierta (ranked 24589 p4p, 24483 weight class) and Ji Soo Shin (ranked 371 p4p, 384 weight class). Ji Soo Shin is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

With a record of 1 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Ji Soo Shin!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Richard Clark and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mierta misses with a low kick as Shin jumps back.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Mierta isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Shin stacks Mierta on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Shin!

Shin lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Mierta takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Shin lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Mierta has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Mierta and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
