Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dario Juan Pablo (ranked 1141 p4p, 2125 weight class) and Ross Kay (ranked 154 p4p, 258 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dario Juan Pablo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Ross Kay! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Chris Saunders and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kay tries to score a power double leg takedown but Juan Pablo sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kay somewhat. Juan Pablo tries to clinch up. Juan Pablo is looking to clinch but Kay is avoiding it.
Kay changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Kay circles away from the clinch attempt.
Juan Pablo darts in and clinches Kay up against the cage. Juan Pablo drags the fight down to the ground.
Juan Pablo keeping moving, preventing Kay from controlling successfully. Kay is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Juan Pablo holds on and takes a little breather. Let's hope that Kay has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Juan Pablo had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kay defends it easily. Kay postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Kay makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Juan Pablo is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
