The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Edson Gomes and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Christ bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Christ lands a nice shot that snaps Fries 's head back.
Fries throws a right hand that Christ ducks under and follows up with a left that Christ also avoids with ease.
Nice straight punches there by Fries . You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Fries .
It looks like Julio Christ has been cut.
Fries misses with a hook.
Fries throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A bone on bone clash there as Fries blocks the leg kick.
Christ takes a swing at Fries 's ribcage but misses.
Christ on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Fries throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Fries throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Christ.
Christ on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Fries stuffs the takedown.
We've been told by Fries 's head coaches at KO MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Christ moves out of range of the strikes.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Christ doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Fries punishes Christ's body with a nice straight punch.
Fries ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Christ moves away.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Christ tries to move into range but Fries moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Christ fails with an attempt to clinch.
Fries swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Victor Fries is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Christ looks for the body kick but Fries saw that one coming.
Fries misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Fries with a nice cross.
Christ changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Fries tries to avoid it but Christ manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Fries to the ground. Fries escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Fries scores with the left hand. Christ knows he should have avoided that one.
The fighters circle momentarily. Fries darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
That has opened up Julio Christ's cut even more.
Fries cracks Christ on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Christ falls backwards against the cage. Fries follows up with more strikes that drop Christ to his knees. Fries keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Christ! This one is all over!
