Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Shakes (ranked 704 p4p, 842 weight class) and Frank Rizzo (ranked 64 p4p, 65 weight class). Shakes comes to the cage accompanied by About the Money- T.I.. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marcus Shakes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 12 - 2, fighting out of St Petersburg, Frank Rizzo!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Daniel Cesar and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Rizzo, as that shot connected.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Shakes uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rizzo.
Rizzo dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Shakes. That did some damage!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

and Rizzo counters with a stiff right hand.

Rizzo works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Rizzo throws a strike but Shakes rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.


Rizzo has his foot on Shakes's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Shakes works his way back into a safe position though.

I would just about give that final round to Frank Rizzo.

Marcus Shakes decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
