Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kari Mountain!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Alec Ball and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mountain fails to land with a series of punches.
Soares shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Mountain napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Soares is looking to take a break and control but Mountain is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Soares fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Soares is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Soares scoring with punches and elbows.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mountain is trying to escape the position but Soares is controlling the position.

It looks like Kari Mountain has been cut.
Mountain is pushing Soares's head away, looking to escape. Soares manages to hold on to the position though.

Mountain really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Soares. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Soares tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
