Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 44 - 28 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ricky Thompson!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, David Oneil!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, James Ackerman and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson is trying hard to land a takedown here. Oneil sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Oneil has his foot on Thompson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Thompson works his way back into a safe position though.

Thompson controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Oneil has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Thompson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Oneil is on top in guard.

Thompson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Thompson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Oneil manages to get himself to full guard.

Oneil pushes a forearm under Thompson's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Thompson is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
