Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 12 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Ishmael Egyptian!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ibasour Sershurrapal!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sershurrapal tries to close the distance and clinch up but Egyptian swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Sershurrapal wants to clinch up but Egyptian keeps it at a distance.
Sershurrapal takes one to the chin there.
Sershurrapal walks into a jab.
Egyptian has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Sershurrapal rushes Egyptian and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Sershurrapal wants a takedown but no success here.
A short body shot lands from Egyptian as the two fighters clinch.

Egyptian drags the fight down to the ground.

Egyptian has his foot on Sershurrapal's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sershurrapal works his way back into a safe position though.
Sershurrapal trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Sershurrapal won't allow Egyptian to sweep him here.
Sershurrapal is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Egyptian working for a triangle but Sershurrapal defends it easily.

Egyptian is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Sershurrapal is aware though and is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Egyptian looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Sershurrapal thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Sershurrapal is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Egyptian has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Sershurrapal is looking to defend but Egyptian has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Sershurrapal! Egyptian pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Sershurrapal taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Ishmael Egyptian!
After winning the bout, Ishmael Egyptian thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
