Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wanderlei Rua (ranked 1222 p4p, 805 weight class) and Rodrigo Duterte (ranked 160 p4p, 97 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Mauricio Rocha and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rua takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Duterte takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Wanderlei Rua seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Rodrigo Duterte was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
