The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Peramaki fails with an attempt to clinch.

Peramaki is looking to clinch. Peramaki closes the distance and pushes Lynar back into the cage. Lynar has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Peramaki regains guard immediately. Peramaki is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lynar wants to control from the top but Peramaki keeps moving. Lynar pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Peramaki is keeping the position for now.

Peramaki keeping moving, preventing Lynar from controlling successfully. We've been hearing good reports from Peramaki's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Lynar is stalling in the full guard. Lynar must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Lynar drops back, looking for a kneebar! Peramaki looks panicked!
