Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Choke (ranked 97 p4p, 362 weight class) and Yar Bol (ranked 17 p4p, 48 weight class). Yar Bol has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with David Choke's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 38 - 23 - 1, fighting out of London, David Choke! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 31 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Yar Bol! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bol misses with the combination.
We've been hearing reports that Choke has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Bol scores with a crisp jab that stopped Choke in his tracks. Bol throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Choke counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Horrible takedown attempt by Choke or perhaps it was just good defense by Bol, which made it look bad. A countering left hand to the body from Bol misses. Choke has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Bol. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Choke.

Bol throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Choke sees it coming and avoids it easily. Nice sprawl there from Bol as Choke shoots in. Choke shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bol as he avoids it easily. A little jabbing left from Bol on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. We've been informed that Bol has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Bol stuffs the takedown attempt from Choke. Choke gets slowly back to his feet. Bol misses with a looping right. Bol throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Choke tries to clinch up. Bol swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Bol might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. so Choke counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Bol pushes Choke off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bol lands an overhand right.

Choke drops down looking for a counter takedown but Bol sprawls and moves away. Choke moves out of range of the strikes. Choke staying out of range there.

Bol scrambles and gets back to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Bol throws a hook but Choke avoids it easily. Bol is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Choke. Choke ducks under a wild hook from Bol. Choke uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bol. Choke staying out of range there. Choke has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Bol finds it's way round the side to connect with Choke's head. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Yar Bol dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Choke misses with a takedown attempt and Bol counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Choke thinking. Bol throws a hook to the side of Choke's head but Choke sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Choke tries for a takedown but Bol sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Bol fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Choke on the side of the head. Bol works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Choke is looking for a kimura but Bol is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Choke to get the leverage. Choke is working for a kimura but Bol is defending it quite comfortably.
Bol really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Choke. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Choke is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Yar Bol has got the better of the ground game so far. Bol controlling from the full mount. Bol has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Choke regains half guard. Choke regains full guard. Nicely done. Choke looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Bol has picked Choke up and slammed him! Choke can't keep hold of the triangle and Bol manages to pass to side control! Choke is trying to get back to half guard. Choke gets back to half guard.

Choke tries to roll over but Bol keeps him under control. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Bol trying to control the action but Choke is working from the bottom. Choke has hold of Bol's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Bol manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Choke thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Choke looking to secure an arm triangle but Bol defends it well. Choke raining down shots from the mount! Choke goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Bol is on top in guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Choke has his feet on Bol's thighs here. He's pushed Bol off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Bol screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
