Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Baki Hanma (ranked 882 p4p, 2284 weight class) and Dan Jones (ranked 115 p4p, 264 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dan Jones!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Donald Grub and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hanma fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Hanma lands a really nice looking cross but Jones seems unphased.
Jones looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Hanma misses with a straight left.
Jones is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Hanma throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Hanma slaps away a takedown attempt from Jones, before circling back to the center of the mat.
We've been told by Hanma's head coaches at Champion Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Hanma throws a body kick that misses
and Jones counters with a crisp one two that drops Hanma! Jones thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Hanma to his feet! Hanma is in big trouble!
Jones gets cracked there but stands up to it.
A good leg kick by Hanma.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hanma misses with a body shot.

Jones takes a jab right on the kisser.
A slapping leg kick lands for Hanma.

Hanma looks to land a left hand but Jones moved out of range nicely.
Jones throws a body punch but Hanma moves out of range.
Jones takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Hanma tries to land a front kick but Jones steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Jones throws out a counter right but Hanma avoids it with no problem.
Hanma lunges at Jones with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Jones's hand.
Baki Hanma is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Hanma walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Hanma lands a nice looking kick to the body. Jones takes a step back to recover.
Hanma works the jab nicely.

Jones throws a jab when Hanma was well out of range.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hanma throws a leg kick
and Jones counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Hanma fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Jones.
Jones takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Hanma bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Jones's head.
Jones steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Hanma.
Jones swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Hanma lands with a nice body punch.
Hanma cracks Jones with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Hanma has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Jones to stand back up!
Jones is rocked!
Hanma throws the left hand but Jones avoids the punch easily.
Hanma just misses with a punch to the body.
Baki Hanma seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hanma ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Hanma cracks Jones with an open hand slap.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hanma misses with a looping right.
Hanma dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Hanma sends Jones crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Hanma is motioning to the referee to let Jones up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Jones is still on wobbly legs! Can Hanma finish him?
Hanma lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Jones falls backwards - clearly groggy! Hanma dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Baki Hanma!
Baki Hanma decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
