Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Francisco Duarte!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 1, fighting out of London, Tomura Shigaraki!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Leandro Rodrigues and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duarte tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Shigaraki paws at him with a jab and circles away.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Duarte.
Shigaraki is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Duarte with a body shot.
Duarte takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Duarte takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Shigaraki lands a right hook to the body.
Duarte rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Shigaraki moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Shigaraki throws a shot to the body.
Duarte has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Shigaraki.
Shigaraki keeps the fight on the outside.
Shigaraki staying out of range there.
A solid leg kick lands there for Shigaraki.
Shigaraki scores with a hook to the body. Duarte takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Duarte is breathing heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Duarte on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
It looks like Francisco Duarte has been cut.
Shigaraki drops his shoulder and cracks Duarte with a huge uppercut! Duarte goes down! Can Shigaraki finish him?
Shigaraki stays in close to Duarte's body and controls the position.
Shigaraki lands a couple of elbows.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Duarte has momentary wrist control but Shigaraki slips an elbow through the middle.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Shigaraki works over Duarte with some ground and pound from guard.
Shigaraki drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Shigaraki jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Shigaraki advances position into side control!
Shigaraki in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Duarte is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Tomura Shigaraki!
