Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Yaroslav Rurik (ranked 724 p4p, 746 weight class) and Vino Kourov (ranked 59 p4p, 60 weight class). Kourov has chosen COME ON as his entrance music. Yaroslav Rurik has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Yaroslav Rurik!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vino Kourov!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paul Aken and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kourov throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Kourov takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Kourov forces Rurik back against the cage and clinches.

Rurik misses with a punch to the body.
Rurik struggles to land a body shot inside as Kourov controls his hands.
Kourov with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Rurik tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Kourov is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Rurik is defending well for now.
Rurik swings wildly with an uppercut but Kourov uses good head movement to avoid it.
Kourov lands a shoulder strike.

Kourov misses with an elbow over the top.
Kourov unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Kourov looking to throw knees to the head but Rurik is blocking nicely.
Rurik lands on the inside with an uppercut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kourov pushes off an throws an elbow but Rurik leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Rurik creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Kourov has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Rurik seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Kourov can turn it around.

Rurik gets through Kourov's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Kourov lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Kourov struggles to land a body shot inside as Rurik controls his hands.

Rurik manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Kourov tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Rurik avoids it.
Rurik creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Kourov's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Kourov drops to his knees and Rurik pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Yaroslav Rurik!
Vino Kourov was interviewed post fight and said 'there's vomit on his sweat ! mom's spaghetti's !'.
