Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Travis Mayweather (ranked 3046 p4p, 3283 weight class) and Roman Zakharov (ranked 353 p4p, 375 weight class). Mayweather comes to the cage accompanied by Wu-Tang Clan - Method Man. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Roman Zakharov enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Travis Mayweather! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Roman Zakharov! The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Colin Fray and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mayweather tries to close the distance and clinch up but Zakharov swats him away and circles back towards the center. Mayweather tries a head kick but it misses.
Mayweather connects with a leg kick. Zakharov closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Mayweather's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Zakharov controlling from the top position. Mayweather looking to control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Zakharov got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mayweather has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Zakharov has managed to get both his arms back between Mayweather's legs - danger averted. Zakharov controlling from the top position. Zakharov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mayweather. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Zakharov controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Mayweather has momentary wrist control but Zakharov slips an elbow through the middle. Mayweather throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Zakharov seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Mayweather is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Zakharov is aware though and is defending well. Mayweather being controlled here, momentarily. Mayweather working a defensive guard here.
Zakharov is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Mayweather looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zakharov is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Zakharov slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Zakharov lands a couple of decent looking shots. Mayweather pulls Zakharov in close to prevent any damage. Mayweather tries to land a sweep but no joy. Zakharov landing some decent shots from guard. Mayweather trying to keep a closed guard but Zakharov is proving a slippery customer.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Mayweather closes the distance but Zakharov moves to the side and Zakharov counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Mayweather looking for submissions off his back. Zakharov looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mayweather wants to get back to full guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Roman Zakharov dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Mayweather digs a good body shot into Zakharov's ribs. Zakharov looking for a takedown here - he's got it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mayweather trying to control the position.
Mayweather can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Zakharov controls the pace. Zakharov has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Mayweather is looking for a triangle but Zakharov pushes his legs off easily.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Mayweather works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
It looks like Roman Zakharov has been cut. Mayweather is looking to land body kicks. Travis Mayweather is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Mayweather lands a right hook to the body.

Travis Mayweather seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mayweather throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Zakharov closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Mayweather to the mat! Mayweather manages to get full guard. Zakharov must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mayweather is trying to control the position but Zakharov postures up. Mayweather being controlled here, momentarily. Zakharov's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Zakharov is continuing to stall.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Zakharov fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Zakharov bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Mayweather tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Zakharov wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Zakharov content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mayweather is looking for a sweep. Mayweather takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Mayweather is letting Zakharov control him for a moment. Mayweather wants to control but Zakharov postures up. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Zakharov controls the position. Mayweather wants to control but Zakharov postures up. You can see the frustration on Mayweather's face as Zakharov controls the position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Roman Zakharov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Roman Zakharov's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Mayweather closes the distance and clinches. Travis Mayweather has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! With the fighters clinched against the cage, Zakharov creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Zakharov gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Zakharov controlling the pace. Mayweather is looking for a sweep. Zakharov is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mayweather actively working from the bottom here. Zakharov is figuring out what he wants to do next.
That's one minute gone in the round. Roman Zakharov has got the better of the ground game so far. Mayweather is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Zakharov pulls his head out easily. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Zakharov in particular looking to stall.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Mayweather lands a jab to Zakharov's midsection. Zakharov shoots in looking for a takedown. Mayweather tries to sprawl out of it but Zakharov keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mayweather manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Mayweather tries to land a front kick but Zakharov steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Zakharov shoots in and bounces Mayweather off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Zakharov trying to move into half guard but instead Mayweather has managed to sweep! Zakharov preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Zakharov controlling Mayweather's posture.

Mayweather trying to control but Zakharov is working from the bottom. Mayweather looking to sit in guard and control but Zakharov gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Zakharov controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Let's hope that Zakharov has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Mayweather looking for a guillotine here but Zakharov defends easily.
Mayweather seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mayweather is looking for a triangle but Zakharov pushes his legs off easily.
And that's the end of the fight! Roman Zakharov comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Zakharov winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
